Collision Severity Is an Exposure Question. Injury Causation Is an Individualized Clinical Question.
A reconstruction may establish the change in velocity. It does not automatically establish that a specific patient was or was not injured. Conversely, symptoms after a collision do not automatically establish causation. Dr. Albright's methodology requires analysis through exposure, mechanism, individual susceptibility, temporality, anatomy, objective abnormalities, differential diagnosis and peer-reviewed scientific evidence.

Jeffrey J. Albright, DC, DAAMLP, CBIST provides clinical neuroscience and injury-causation consultation in matters involving motor-vehicle collisions, concussion and traumatic brain injury, whiplash-associated disorders, cervical ligament injury and complex neurological presentations.
His professional background occupies the intersection of clinical neurotrauma and collision-related injury biomechanics. In addition to more than two decades of clinical experience, Dr. Albright has undertaken extensive postgraduate education in clinical neuroscience and functional neurology, including neurological examination, vestibular and oculomotor function, balance and gait, sensorimotor integration, concussion, traumatic brain injury and neurological rehabilitation.
His collision-related education includes formal training in Crash Data Retrieval and Event Data Recorder analysis through IPTM, postgraduate coursework in accident reconstruction and biomechanical engineering through the Academy of Chiropractic Post-Doctoral Division, and participation in WATAI crash-testing and accident-reconstruction educational programs. His training encompasses concepts including collision dynamics, force vectors, change in velocity, vehicle dynamics, EDR evidence, occupant kinematics and the relationship between collision exposure and human injury.
Dr. Albright has also completed specialized postgraduate education through the Spine Research Institute of San Diego in Whiplash Injury Biomechanics and Traumatology, including advanced training addressing occupant dynamics, cervical acceleration-deceleration injury, vehicle and seat factors, injury mechanisms and clinical correlation.
His spinal-trauma work includes evaluation of cervical ligament injury and alteration of motion segment integrity (AOMSI) through quantitative radiographic and clinical analysis. He combines those structural findings, when present, with neurological examination and other objective measures rather than evaluating imaging in isolation.
As a Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer (CBIST) and Diplomate of the American Academy of Medical Legal Professionals (DAAMLP), Dr. Albright's med-legal work emphasizes the integration of medical chronology, mechanism of injury, objective neurological findings, imaging, pre-existing conditions, alternative explanations and peer-reviewed scientific evidence.
His role is distinct from that of a professional engineer. When engineering reconstruction calculations have been performed by an ACTAR-accredited reconstructionist, engineer, EDR analyst or other qualified specialist, those findings may be incorporated into his analysis. His principal area of opinion is the clinical and biomechanical consistency between documented exposure, occupant response, objective injury findings and the patient's clinical course.
